Ganesh Aarti Lyrics of the Major Aartis
The aartis sung standing before the idol, lamp in hand, at the morning and evening worship through Ganesh Utsav - in Devanagari with a singable transliteration.
Singing the aarti
Through the days your Ganpati stays, the murti is worshipped twice a day with aarti - a lamp of lit wicks circled before the deity while the household sings. The order is much the same everywhere: Sukhkarta Dukhharta first, then aartis such as Shendur Lal Chadhayo or Jai Ganesh Deva, and always Ghalin Lotangan to close, before the mantra-pushpanjali and prasad. Below are the lyrics of the four most widely sung, so the whole family can join in.
Sukhkarta Dukhharta सुखकर्ता दुखहर्ता
Marathi · Samarth Ramdas (17th century)

Composed by the saint Samarth Ramdas, its opening words mean the maker of happiness and remover of sorrow (Sukhkarta Dukhharta). It is sung standing before the idol, lamp in hand, at the morning and evening aarti.
